ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Benji Wachtman. My passion is video production. When I was very young, my friends and I made short films using my parent's camcorder. My interests grew, and I bought my first camera.
Working through finding my interests, in 2020 I began shooting product photos for my brother's company, Wachtman Knife & Tool.
During the last two years of high school, among a crowded group of applicants, I was accepted to the digital design program at the Delaware Area Career Center. This program contributed to an excellent foundation to build my career in video production.
Through the career center, I landed my first part-time job in the video production industry, editing explainer and promotional videos for American Diesel Training Centers.
From there, I grew my network and worked in the freelance field before being hired on as video editor for the Vivek 2024 presidential campaign. There, I further honed my editing and storytelling skills. I also filmed a couple campaign events.
I am currently taking on freelance projects such as promotional/explainer videos for small businesses. I own and operate the Blackmagic Pocket 4K and Sony FX30.
I also work in the following roles on set: Camera Operator, Gaffer and Grip.
